alcohol, and titrate with 0.10 N sodium hydroxide: not more than 1.0 mL is
consumed.

2 or 3 drops of it to 5 mL of potassium permanganate solution (1 in 20), and
acidify with 2 N sulfuric acid: the odour of benzaldehyde is perceptible.
